I’m an blog writing bandit, got away with words (c)
How’d you like that for wordplay?!
I always wanted the chance to create a website and a few years back i actually bought a domain with the intention of setting up a blog and showcasing my paintshop work however i didn’t have a clue as to what i was doing and never quite had the patience to figure out paintshop (i think i used it once or twice before calling it a day lol) so it remained empty until my ownership expired.
I did the blog ting on various sites including xanga and livejournal but that’s not the same as having your own domain ya know?
It was only after talking to a friend who encouraged me to develop my writing that i decided to look into creating another site that i would actively update and so i half heartedly began to look for a domain but all the “original” ideas i came up with had already been taken.
Then in june 2006 i was relaxing with a book and listening to my ipod when Erykah Badu’s Next Lifetime (Interlude) started to play… the end of that interlude leads onto her live version of Tyrone a song she had created during a soundcheck with her band while in London a few years back, before she begins to sing Tyrone she says “now keep in mind that i’m an artist and i’m sensitive about my shit.” It was then that an idea popped into my head and it stayed there until i logged onto the internet and sent a message to my friend who then logged onto MSN where we had a conversation by the time we had finished talking i was the proud owner of sensitiveaboutmyshit.com.
Why sensitiveaboutmyshit.com? Well i guess its just the perfect way to describe my feelings towards my writing, people say i’m good and they enjoy reading what i write but since i’m a fully paid up member of the You are your own worst critic club i always think why? I can barely imagine someone else reading my words and not wanting to gouge their eyes out afterwards lol
So if you ever come across something i’ve written that you think is utter bullcrap, take it easy on me cause i’m sensitive about my shit and all that jazz…
